Photography is a visual journey of expression, capturing the small joys of everyday life and ordinary moments. It allows me an escape where I can focus on the world around me, losing track of time as if it seems to stand still. Yet people keep moving through life, searching for the basic human emotions of happiness and optimism. Photographing people in their environment and capturing their everyday activities creates a memory, records a placemark, draws us into humanness and dignity, gives us hope for compassion and empathy, and helps bring everyone closer to appreciating our likenesses and cultural differences. I search for happiness in humanity; I seek to capture a moment when the world slows down, and people take time to reflect on the love and beauty in a world that can be harsh and unforgiving.
